Gala Fundraiser Dinner and Auction 2014

This Saturday’s Garden to Table gala fundraiser has unfortunately been cancelled. It seems the All Blacks match along with a myriad of other food events throughout August have impacted our ticket sales hugely, and we haven't met our minimum ticket sales requirement. This is not a decision that was made lightly however ticket sales were not a level where the event would have been viable. 

Thank you to the many, many people who have so generously donated their time, expertise and products to this event, and we’re sorry that we couldn’t achieve the numbers required to make it work. 

To all of the fantastic supporters who had booked tickets, you should have already, or will shortly be receiving an email with refund information. We thank you for your support of this event.

We are currently looking into postponement dates and other fundraising options and will keep you updated.

Special thanks must go to our chefs – Al Brown, Nic Watt, Volker Marecek, Nick Honeyman, Brian Campbell, Mikey Newlands and Karena and Kasey Bird  – who dedicated many hours to developing a fantastic menu. We must also dedicate our sincere thanks to our premium sponsors Donna Hoyle Design, Davina Prankerd and the Vida Flores team, The Langham, Auckland and Bluestar Printing. Our gratitude also goes to MC Jesse Mulligan and auctioneer Richard Thomson as well as our two wonderful food and wine volunteers, Kathy Paterson and Belinda Jackson. There are countless others, all of whom we cannot thank here, but we are so appreciative of all who have given their valuable time, expertise and products to support this event.

 The Garden to Table Trust is working hard to build a positive future for our children through food education and we invite you to join us for a very special evening of fine food and wine. The funds raised will ensure many more children can have the opportunity to learn to grow, harvest, prepare and share good food along with vital life skills that will enable them to lead happy, healthy lives.

 Currently available in 21 primary schools around New Zealand, the proceeds from this event will make it possible for the Trust to
support more schools in 2015 and develop the resources essential to the programme’s success.
