The Invisible World of Soil

This is a taster of a full curriculum resource designed to teach Garden to Table tamariki about soil.

Soil is an invisible and misunderstood powerhouse but, in fact, it’s the foundation of life on earth.

As it’s often unseen, soil gets forgotten and, because much of its magic is so small, it’s hard to imagine the hustle and bustle of life underground.

Here at Garden to Table, we love teaching tamariki about the importance of soil.

Thanks to Weleda, and as part of their ‘Save the Earth’s Skin’ soil awareness campaign, our tamariki are discovering soil in ways they never have before.

As a taster (or teaser), we share a few of these fun Garden to Table activities with you and your tamariki. Together, you can learn about soil sausages and about the FBI of soil (Fungi, Bacteria and Insects).
