He kūmara reka - Sweet kūmara

This is a taster of our full collaborative resource with Te Reo Club.

Our first collaboration with Te Reo Club is all about kūmara. The rauemi/resources include:

  • a multi-lesson curriculum resource – this unit explores the technology early Māori in Aotearoa New Zealand used to grow kūmara, then experiments through science (both Material and Physical World) and finally brings all of the knowledge and wisdom together to grow great kūmara. (This resource is available to our member schools.)

  • Bilingual recipes and posters

To celebrate our partnership with Te Reo Club, we are gifting a bilingual kūmara recipe, a whakataukī poster and colouring-in activity for your whānau to enjoy.
