We're looking for a new Programme Coordinator in Auckland to support our Garden to Table schools in Central, South and East Auckland, and be the local face of Garden to Table! This is a 15 hour per week position (excluding school holidays) and an opportunity to really make a difference in the way our children think about food.
You will be the key contact person for our schools in the Central, South and East Auckalnd area, and will promote the programme to potential schools and support existing schools with all aspects of programme implementation, including encouragement and trouble-shooting, arranging Garden to Table training, events and fundraising, to name just a few!
You don't have to be a skilled cook or gardener, but you MUST care about good, fresh produce and supporting children as they discover a love for the kitchen and garden. You'll be an upbeat problem-solver with a positive, 'can-do' attitude, who is willing to go the extra mile. You'll be comfortable working with kids in a classroom situation and with school principals one minute and talking to corporate sponsors the next. You will need to be a well organised administrator and be able to work independently.
